Device compatibility FAQs

If your device has the ability to add an eSIM in its device settings, it supports eSIMs — the section where you can do this may be different, depending on your device.
For Apple devices, check Cellular or Mobile for the “Add eSIM” option.
For Samsung devices, check the SIM Manager for the “Add eSIM” option.
For Pixel devices, check SIMs for the “Download a new eSIM” option.

Carrier-locked or network-locked devices are restricted to using networks and SIMs from one mobile provider — if your device is carrier or network-locked, you can’t use Airalo.

As a security measure, the Airalo app may not work on devices it recognizes as jailbroken or rooted — we apologize for any inconvenience.
If your device is rooted or jailbroken, you will need to use another device in order to use the Airalo app. You can still purchase an eSIM from Airalo to use on a device that is not jailbroken or rooted.
